How to convert screenshots to a PDF
- Choose your screenshots, drop them onto the page, or paste one with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac). You can add more at any time.
- Put them in order with the Up and Down buttons, and remove any you do not need.
- Choose a page size. Fit page to each image keeps every screenshot at full size on its own page. A4 and US Letter fit each image onto a standard page for printing.
- Click Download PDF. One image makes a one-page PDF; several make one PDF with a page for each.
Which page size should you choose?
For screenshots you will read on a screen, choose Fit page to each image. A tall screenshot of a chat or a webpage becomes one tall page, so nothing is shrunk and the text stays readable. Choose A4 or Letter when the PDF will be printed or attached to a form that expects standard pages; each image is scaled to fit inside the margins and centred.
Nothing is uploaded
The PDF is assembled by your browser, on your computer. The images are not sent to a server, there is no account and there is no watermark. That makes this safe for screenshots of bank statements, medical portals, private messages and anything else you would not hand to a converter site.
Making a PDF of a whole webpage
If what you want is a PDF of an entire webpage rather than of screenshots you already have, there are two better routes. Chrome's own Print to PDF keeps the text selectable but often reflows or cuts off the layout. The Full Page Screenshot extension captures the page exactly as it looks, from top to bottom, and exports it as a PDF in one step. The guide to saving a webpage as PDF compares both.
FAQ
How do I make a screenshot a PDF on my phone?
Open this page on your phone, tap Choose screenshots, pick the images from your photos, and tap Download PDF. The PDF is saved to your downloads or shared through the share sheet, depending on your phone.
Can I combine PNG and JPG files in the same PDF?
Yes. Each image is placed on its own page in whatever format it came in. WebP images are converted on the fly.
Why is the PDF large?
PNG screenshots are stored without loss, so a long, detailed screenshot can be several megabytes. If size matters more than sharpness, save the screenshots as JPG first, or convert them with the image tool, which can export JPG.
Is the text in the PDF selectable?
No. A screenshot is a picture, so the PDF contains a picture. For a text-searchable PDF of a webpage, use the browser's Print to PDF instead.
